The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) is an independent, quasi-judicial agency of the Government of Alberta. Its mission is to ensure that the discovery, development, and delivery of Alberta's energy resources and utilities services takes place in a manner that is fair, responsible, and in the public interest.

The Energy Resource Conservation Board (ERCB) was the predecessor of the EUB.

The Subdivision Appeal Board (SDAB) is a quasi-judicial board established under the Municipal Government Act of the Province of Alberta. The Board hears appeals with respect to decisions of the Approving Authority and Development Authority and renders decisions based on relevant planning matters.

The Environmental Appeal Board (EAB) is a quasi-judicial body that is an independent board and gives Albertans a way to appeal decisions made under the Environmental Protection and Enhancement Act and the Water Act about development approvals, environmental certificates, or other orders.

The National Energy Board (NEB) is an independent federal agency that regulates several aspects of Canada's energy industry. Its purpose is to promote safety, environmental protection and economic efficiency in the Canadian public interest within the mandate set by Parliament in the regulation of pipelines, energy development and trade.
