Statements of Concern

As part of the groundwater licensing procedure, Alberta Environment and Protected Areas (AEPA) requires that a public notice be published in a locally distributed newspaper for any licence application. The public notice allows residents to submit a Statement of Concern (SC) to AEPA if they believe their groundwater supply may be affected by the proposed diversion. AEPA may then require a response to be prepared for any resident who may be directly affected.

HCL has access to the enhanced Groundwater Centre database (www.tgwc.com), and the expertise to prepare detailed responses to these concerned residents. These responses include a determination of the likelihood and the amount of groundwater interference, in addition to an explanation of the licensing procedure.
